Vusisizwe Community Theatre

The Vusisizwe Community Theatre Project was initiated in Khayamandi in 2001 and is now a registered non-profit organisation with an office at the Trust Centre.

The project promotes youth participation, awareness and development through the arts. Vusisizwe focuses on drama, drumming, storytelling, poetry, traditional music, traditional dance and praise singing. It involves 45 members (from ages 11 years and older), administrative staff and an advisory board.

Every September, Vusisizwe hosts the Khayamandi Arts and Cultural Festival. The project has also hosted the Boland Dance Festival.

Monde Myataza is the main coordinator of the project's efforts.
